An opening and closing system for a sliding window is provided to prevent a burglary by forming a guide on an inner window frame and a guider on an outer window frame, and projecting and retracting the guider. An opening and closing system for a sliding window includes a guide provided with a groove and a through hole on the bottom of an inner window frame, and a guider portion placed on the bottom of an outer window frame(2) and projected by operating together with a guider operating device, so that the opening and closing system closes the window by making a guider of the guider portion enter the through hole and opens the window by moving the guider along the groove of the guide at need. The guider operating device includes a housing fitted to the outer window frame and provided with an interlocking hole inward, a guider provided with a support inserted to the interlocking hole of the housing and fitted with an elastic spring at the uppermost end, an insertion integrated to the bottom to be wider than the support and a guide projection projected to the bottom of the insertion, a no-head bolt fitted to a screw hole formed in the center of the guider, and a movable lever(50) connected to the no-head bolt with a wire and rotated to ascend and descend the guider vertically with the tensile force of the wire and to move the guider to into and out of the guide, thereby controlling the opening and closing of the window. |
