A plasma display panel is provided to improve discharge efficiency by increasing an application area of a fluorescent material in a discharge cell. Front and rear substrates(111,121) are opposed to each other. Discharge sustain electrodes(S) are elongated in a parallel direction and arranged on the front substrate. Address electrodes(A) are elongated to cross the discharge sustain electrodes and arranged on the rear substrate. A barrier rib(124) is arranged between the front and rear substrates, such that a discharge cell is formed at an intersection region between the discharge sustain and address electrodes. Plural bumps(140) are formed to be protruded from the rear substrate toward the front substrate in the discharge cell. A fluorescent layer(125) covers the rear substrate and the bump and is arranged in the discharge cell.
