PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique for flexibly outputting an image corresponding to the taste of an image data creator. SOLUTION: An image output system is constructed which outputs image data generated by a digital still camera 12 through the use of a color printer 20. The digital still camera 12 holds image processing control data, to be set at each image, which are prepared by a maker and correction data which are set by a user. Then, an image file is generated which comprises image data, image processing control data and correction data. The color printer 20 processes the image in response to image processing control data (including correction data) which is contained in the image file and outputs the image.
