<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality of a display image when a display deteriorates with time. <P>SOLUTION: An image for measurement is displayed on the display 105 in a measuring mode. A remote transmitter 200 detects an L*a*b* signal as a feature amount corresponding to the image quality of the image for measurement for every monochrome image in 24 colors. Based on the L*a*b* signal at each timing when stored in a memory 109, a signal processing part 104 forms a calculation formula having operation cumulative time TM as a parameter to obtain variation on the basis of timing immediately after purchase of the display.
