PURPOSE:To enable a part cassette to be automatically changed at the switch of device in type by a method wherein a part feeder required to be replaced is discriminated by the control of a electronic part mounter on the basin of the part names of a part feeder and the designations of parts required by mounting programs after the switch of device in type, and the control concerned directs the replacement of a part feeder. CONSTITUTION:The designations and the mounting number of parts of the part cassettes 8 provided to a current part feed section 5 are read by a reader 11, and mounting programs after the switch of device in type are read also by the reader 11 from a central control section. In succession, the part cassettes 8 required to be replaced attendant on the switch of device in type are discriminated on the basin of part designations. The replacement instruction of the discriminated part cassettes 8 is outputted from an electronic part mounter to a central control section or a part control section, and the part cassettes 8 required to be replaced are collectively carried out behind the part feed section 5. Thereafter, the part cassettes 8 are replaced by a robot or an operator at the actual switch of device in type. |
