PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase effective hydrogen occluding capacity, to activate at a low temp. and to decrease cost. SOLUTION: In a hydrogen storage device for storing hydrogen with a hydrogen occluding alloy 3, a 1st activating process for previously activating by incorporating hydrogen in the hydrogen occluding alloy 3 before the hydrogen occluding alloy 3, at least a part of which is a BCC phase before hydrogenation, is filled in the hydrogen storage device, a deactivating process for deactivating the hydrogen occluding alloy 3 with an oxidizing gas, a filling process for filling the hydrogen occluding alloy 3 in the hydrogen storage device and a 2nd activating process for activating the hydrogen occluding alloy 3 again by introducing hydrogen into the hydrogen storage device are provided. |
