PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet having excellent ink absorbency, color developability, white paper light-proofness and image light-proofness. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording sheet comprises an ink receptive layer containing a pigment and a binding agent on at least one surface of a support. In this case, the receptive layer contains a diester phenol compound represented by the formula, wherein R1 and R2 are each 1-4C alkyl group, at least one is t-butyl group, R3 is 2-6C alkylene group or -(R4⊥)n-R5-(O-R4)n-, and here R4 and R5 are each 1-4C alkylene group, and n is a number of 1 to 4. |
