PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent bending of hairs of a coating tool and improve efficiency of an installation work of the coating tool at the time of installation of the coating tool to an axial tip. SOLUTION: This coating tool is provided with a coating body 10, a front side engagement member 20, a partition member 30 (a rear side engagement part) and an axial tip 40. The coating body 10 is like a brush having a bundle of hairs bonded in the rear end and has a flange-like part 14 to be engaged. The axial tip 40 has a coating body projection hole 45 out of which the front end side part of the bundle of hairs 12 is projected and is made cylindrical to install the coating body 10 in the inner circumferential side. The partition member 30 is positioned in the rear side of the part 14 to be engaged and engages the coating body 10 from the rear side. The front side engaging member 20 is installed in the outer circumferential side of the bundle of hairs 12 and in the front side of the part 14 to be engaged and joint to a front side engaging part 47 of the axial tip 40 to engage the coating body 10 from the front side. An approximately cylindrical outer circumference restricting part 22 in the back and forth direction is formed in the front side engaging member 20 and an open split 28 for continuously communicating the inner circumference and the outer circumference sides is so formed as to install the bundle of hairs 12 in the side part. |
