PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photosensitive material excellent in decolorizability and storage stability, wherein at least either the photosensitive layer or the non-photosensitive layer contains a dye and a base precursor. SOLUTION: Provided is a heat-developable photosensitive material comprising a support, a photosensitive layer containing silver halide and a reducing agent, and a non-photosensitive layer, wherein at least either the photosensitive layer or the non-photosensitive layer contains a dye represented by formula I and 1-100 mol, per mol of the dye, of a base precursor. The decolorization reaction takes place under conditions including a heating temperature of 40-200 deg.C and a heating time of 5-120 sec. The basic precursor is typified by a heat-decomposable base precursor comprising a salt of a carboxylic acid represented by e.g. formula II with a base and being capable of liberating an organic base upon being heated. In the formulae, R1 is hydrogen, an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, or the like; R2 is hydrogen, an aliphatic group, or an aromatic group; L1 and L2 are methine groups which may be bonded with each other to form a ring; R3 and R4 are each hydrogen, an aliphatic group, a heterocyclic group, or the like; Z' is an atomic group necessary to form a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group; V1 is a monovalent substituent; n is 1, 2, 3, or 4; and m is an integer of 0-4. |
