Disclosed is a message transmission method: a base station circularly sending a first sequence immediately after obtaining a channel use right of a permission-free frequency spectrum, wherein a time interval between a first moment and a starting moment of a first symbol is not less than a time length of the first sequence of one period, the time length of the first sequence of one period is not greater than a time length of a symbol not comprising CP, and the first sequence is a characteristic sequence of an LAA-LTE system. According to the method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, a base station achieves a purpose of occupying a channel, further, by transmitting a sequence having a short period and a characteristic of an LAA-LTE system on a channel of a permission-free frequency spectrum, a user equipment is directly notified on the channel of the current permission-free frequency spectrum to communicate with the base station on the channel of the permission-free frequency spectrum, thus avoiding resource waste caused by transmitting signaling by additionally using channel resources of a permitted frequency spectrum. |
