Hinge with incorporated flexible supporting flaps for system for designing, automatically expanding and suspending various elements, wherein a hinge (1) is used as a pincer-like gripping system in structures (E) such as cardboard displays to design and automatically unfold such structures, semicircular cutouts (11) being provided in the hinge between the folds (8) of the inner wall segments (2) and (3) and peripheral wall segments (12) and (13), and extending partially into the intermediate portions of the inner wall segments (2) and (3). The folds (8) also cause the cutouts (11) to match the respective peripheral wall segments (12) and (13). The hinge is used to articulate the structures (E), being mounted between overlapping portions (P) of the latter, the supporting flaps (15) of the hinge (1) extending from the cutouts (11) over the peripheral wall segments (12) and (13). The supporting flaps (15) increase the surface area of the hinge (1) abutting the inner surface of the overlapping portions (P) of the structure (E), providing articulations designed for automatic opening and, above all, relieving any strains on and preventing any undesirable marks (creases) at these strain points resulting from the pincer-like gripping hinge system of the hinge (1). This effect is combined with the enlarged curvature radius of the edges (9) of the folds (8) between the inner wall segments (2) and (3) and peripheral wall segments (12) and (13), which also relieves strain on these articulation points between the hinge (1) and the overlapping portions (P) of the display (E). |
