PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system capable of correctly recognizing as a change area in an image in which colors finely change like gradation, grouping change areas together, and selecting proper image processing.SOLUTION: An information processing system of an embodiment of the present invention divides an image into partial areas on the basis of color information, determines a threshold, which is used to decide whether the partial area is a change area, for each partial area according to the size of the partial area, and decides for each partial area whether a difference between color information of the partial area and color information of a peripheral partial area present in the periphery of the partial area is smaller than the threshold. If the difference is decided to be smaller than the threshold, the partial area is preserved. If the number of preserved partial areas is equal to or larger than a predetermined number of partial areas, the same image processing method is selected for an area into which the partial areas preserved in storage means are grouped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
