An adjustable, mobile orthosis designed to provide support and mobility to four-legged animals like dogs and cats with hind limb weakness or paralysis. The machine-made wheelchairs are made of high quality aluminum and plastic. The combination of materials makes them sturdy, lightweight, and portable. With highly durable tires, the cart enables flexible mobility on different terrains. Secure buckle and Velcro straps are fitted to provide snug attachment to the wheelchair and comfortable support to hind limbs. Heavily padded leg support ensures steady and even weight distribution. The wheelchairs come in 5 different sizes that can easily be adjusted for a comfortable fit. Simple body measurements are used and custom made carts can be ordered as an alternative. The remarkable bond humans and animals share inspire us. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life of both pets and owners. The invention is a wheeled cart to which the animal is to be harnessed, the cart having a harness attachable to the animal's thorax, a hip support member for carrying the animal's rear quarters, and a shin support for the animal's rear legs. A preferred embodiment comprises a two-wheeled cart having a pair of adjustment blocks each having a plurality of axle holes, the axle being positionable with respect to the cart to approximate a balanced support of the rear quarters. |
