Ion exchanger water softener

The apparatus consists of a PVC pipe with a threaded PVC cover on to which a stopper is screwed. A filter is fitted at the bottom and a sleeve leading to a pipe extending above the apparatus, on which a second filter is provided. The top and the bottom are cold-welded to the pipe and the resin is brought in at the top of the appartus. Piped water enters the device at the bottom and passes through the filters and the resin, by which it is softened and which is retained in the device by the filters. A method for regenerating the filters is described.
