<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the resistance to a fine split and abrasion resistance by setting the Shore D hardness and flexural modulus of rigidity of a cover covering a core to specific values, and setting the 10%-modulus of a paint applied on the cover surface to a specific value. SOLUTION: In this golf ball having a core, a cover and one or more layers of paint formed on the cover, the Shore D hardness of he cover is 50-65, the flexural modulus of rigidity is 1,000-2,000 kgf/cm2, and the 10%-modulus of at least the outermost layer of the paint is 5-50 kgf/cm2. The cover is made of an ionomer resin as a base material, and one or two or more kinds are blended to have the Shore D hardness of 50-65 and the flexural modulus of rigidity of 1,000-2,000 kgf/cm2. A clear paint containing no white pigment is preferably used for the paint, and its thickness is set to the range of 10-40μm.</p> |
