In situ purification of water in rivers lakes etc. - by injecting air, circulated water and additives via submerged diffusion chamber

A free-standing chamber is submerged in the water and supplied with fluid(s) under pressure which are diffused into the water through perforations in the top of the chamber. The diffused fluid is pref. mainly air from a compressor, some of the water to be treated via a pump, or a gas pref. air, mixed with the water. Treatment additives may be injected into the fluid prior to diffusion from the chamber. When the fluid comprises water to be treated, this is pref. supplied to the diffusion chamber by a submersible pump fixed to the chamber. Pumped water can be used to draw atmos. air into the diffusion chamber via an injector. The atmos. air can be taken from a suction inlet attached to a float on the surface of the water. Used for purifying, clarifying and preventing pollution of lakes, pools, ribers etc. The chamber(s) can be moved from one site to another as required. The system has wide adaptability to deal with a variety of problems, i.e. treatment is easily changed to suit requirements.
