<p>The invention provides hair styling compositions, for example creams, gels and especially aerosol hair styling mousses. The compositions contain a cross-linked silicone, such as an emulsion of cross-linked dimethiconol gum, and a cationic hair styling polymer having a cationic charge density of at least 1 meq/g.
