PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having high charge and discharge characteristics, excellent cycle characteristics, and high energy density by suppressing decomposition of an electrolyte to a minimum. SOLUTION: In this nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery composed of at least a negative electrode of carbonaceous material capable of occlude and discharge lithium, a positive electrode and an electrolyte obtained by dissolving lithium salt in a nonaqueous solvent, the negative electrode comprises a graphite and a lower crystalline carbon material than the graphite, and a compound ratio of the graphite to the carbon material is 98/2-85/2 (wt.%). In addition, the nonaqueous solvent contains 5-10 wt.% of a cyclic acid anhydride. |
