PURPOSE:To exactly stabilize the surface layer of sloped ground, etc., by the application of water glass and its hardening agnet to the ground's surface. CONSTITUTION:Water glass, e.g., sodium silicate, potassium silicate, etc., of 0.01-30kg per 1m<2> of the surface layer of the ground and 5-50wt% a hardening agent, e.g., acetic acid, formic acid, etc., are applied to the surface layer of the ground. When the water glass and the hardening agent are used in the form of aqueous solutions, the water glass is diluted to a 0.5-100wt% aqueous solution of pH 4-7.5. Stabilized surface layer of the ground which can withstand wind and rain water can thus be formed. The use of the aqueous solution of pH 4-7.5 can protect seeds and roots of plant from adverse influences. |
