An apparatus is disclosed which is used in processing document data including voice data, in which apparatus document data supplied from a keyboard is edited under the control of a sentence structure control section, and the edited document data is stored in a memory section. The stored document data is displayed on a display. A desired document block among the displayed document data is designated, and a voice pertaining to the designated document block is coupled from a voice input device, whereby the corresponding voice data is stored in the memory section for the designated document block. Document data read out from the memory section includes the voice data, so that voice data can be reproduced, which is useful in the formation and correction of documents.
