摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal display device with excellent display quality by arranging upper screen signal electrodes and lower screen signal electrodes so that their division ends are interlaced with each other at the center part of a screen, and crossing a common scanning electrode alternately. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal panel 1a has scanning electrodes Y1-Y6 and Y1-Y4, the upper screen signal electrodes X1-X12 and lower signal electrodes X1-X12 have division parts 8a and 8b, and the upper screen (odd-numbered) signal electrodes X1-X12 and lower screen (even-numbered) signal electrodes X2-X12 both cross the scanning electrodes Y5 and Y6. A controller 5a generates a data signal and various timing signals for the signal electrodes X1-X12 and X1-X12. The division ends of the signal electrodes are not linear, but interlaced with each other. Consequently, even if an upper and a lower panel are slightly difference in display characteristics, the upper and lower screens are mixed at the division parts and the whole screen is homogenized.
