An elongated light fixture has a cover made of transparent material and a housing (11). Mounted on the base (10) of the housing are supports for fluorescent lamps (20), which are of L-shaped construction and have channels (35, 61) for electric lines, an accommodation space (28) for a switch (29), and a clamping strip formed from clamping bodies (48) passing through the first limb section (13).
