PURPOSE:To reduce the outside diameter of the bearing relative to the given inside diameter by making the raceway ring components a shell shape and stamps forming them from steel sheets, etc. CONSTITUTION:A shell shaped outer ring 14 of a prestressed type double row angular contact bearing provides outer ring raceway tracks 17 and 18 at the both sides of a middle constricted part 15. An inner ring 16 has one inner ring element 21 and another shell shaped inner ring element 23 which fits over the outer circumferential surface of the inner ring element. One end of the inner ring element 21 forms a flange 24 bent toward the raceway track ring 14, and a washer 31 and an elastic member 32 made of rubber are provided between said flange 24 and another inner ring element 23, thereby giving prestress to other raceway track elements and eliminating gaps between the inner and outer rings 16 and 14 and the balls 27 and 28. |
