<p>PURPOSE:To attain consecutive shot and insert recording or the like and to prevent a reproduced picture from being disturbed by keeping the consecution of alternate field with a recorded video signal so as to record other video signal. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with field discrimination circuits 21, 23 and a coincidence detection circuit 24 and the phase of a frequency division output of a 1/2 frequency divider circuit 25 is subject to inversion control in response to the output of the coincidence detection circuit 24. Prior to the start of consecutive shot or insert recording or the like, the repetitive order of odd and even number fields of a reproduced recorded video signal and the video signal to be recorded newly is made coincident by a reproduction field inversion means. Then the recording of other video signal is started in this state and the other video signal is recorded while keeping the consecution of field alternate with respect to the recorded video signal. Thus, no discontinuous field alternate is caused at joints of the recorded video signals.</p> |
