PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent information leakage, invalid transaction, unwanted interference with a system of different type and malfunction. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a means for receiving the energy of an electromagnetic field radiated from an external device, an integrated circuit 2 capable of being operated by driving power supplied by the energy of the electromagnetic field and a switch 3, which is provided in the means (electromagnetic induction coil 4) for receiving the energy of the electromagnetic field, for switching the inductance of this means. Thus, when an IC card 8 is made close to a reader/writer in the state of inhibiting the operation of the IC card 8 by turning off the switch 3, since no current is generated on the electromagnetic induction coil 4, the interference to the side of the reader/writer can be suppressed to a minimum. As a result, even when any other card different from this IC card 8 is carried close to the same reader/writer and communication is performed, possibility for disturbance to be applied to the operation of these cards can be reduced. |
