PURPOSE:To provide recording reduced in the degradation of picture quality by stabilizing the travel of a tape regardless of recording condition in the case of the recording. CONSTITUTION:When interval recording is stopped, a tape 2 is rewound for a prescribed amount (longer than a normal consecutive shooting case) by an S reel motor 9 and after the lapse of interval set time, a capstan motor 15 is rotated by a system controller 20. Then, tracking is executed for prescribed time (for a run-up block corresponding to the above-mentioned prescribed amount) and in the case of starting the recording, the travel of the tape is stabilized. |
