PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a substrate for cell culture excellent in proliferation speed and differentiation efficiency of various cells. SOLUTION: This substrate 1 forms many small pits 2 having nearly circular or polygonal opening shape and 30-250μm size on the surface. Thereby, cells are housed in these pits and proliferation speed is increased and the interiors of the pits are made confluent in early stages to improve differentiation efficiency of the cells.
