PURPOSE:To provide a coating apparatus easily obtaining a coated article reduced in wall thickness deviation and excellent in appearance and excellent in productivity. CONSTITUTION:A vertical coating apparatus consists of a moving device 3 moving a core material in a vertical direction at the coating speed set to a coating die 5, an extruder 1 extruding a synthetic resin in a molten state, the coating die 5 applying a molten substance 4 to the outer peripheral part of the core material in a vertical direction and a taking-out device 7 moving the core material 2 becoming the state incapable of being held by the moving device 3 in the vertical direction at the set coating speed and taking out the stably coated article 6 to the outside of the system.
