The drive has a control pump (20) with variable vol. flow and a hydromotor (23) integrated into the drive wheel hub. The motor is connected to the pump via a hydraulic control unit (10) so that the control unit enables idling with a control valve (10) in the rest state acting as a bypass. In the activated state a closed vol. flow circuit is made between the pump and motor, enabling a continuously variable transmission drive and motor braking by reversing the pump. There is an anti wheel locking function.
