摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain combustion of low NOx and high efficiency by injecting air and a fluid such as water from a fluid nozzle hole into a thin fuel concentration side area outside of an area where a fuel spray luminous flame exists, formed in a combustion chamber by fuel injection, during a fuel injection period and later than the beginning of fuel injection. SOLUTION: Fuel force-fed from a fuel injection pump during the operation-of a direct injection type diesel engine reaches a fuel sump 10 through a fuel passage 6c of a valve body 21a, a spring chamber 14, a clearance between a top face 20a of a nozzle 20 and a lower face 6b3 of a collar part 6b4, and a fuel passage 6f in the nozzle 20, and acts upon a seat part 6a1 of a fuel needle valve 6a. When this fuel pressure overcomes a spring 6e, the fuel needle valve 6a is opened, and fuel in the fuel sump 10 is injected from a fuel nozzle hole 12. After the fuel needle valve 6a is lifted and its top face 6i comes in contact with a contact part 6b2 of a fluid needle valve 6b, the fluid needle valve 6b is opened, and air, water, and the like led into a fluid sump 11 are injected from a fluid nozzle hole 13.
