PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple generating power supply to be driven by manpower in an emergency case, where no commercial power is available even though optical fibers are linked in an optical fiber communication terminal. SOLUTION: A hand (or foot) DC motor-generator 1, connected to an electric double layer capacitor 2 and a load (power supply of a terminal) in series, is driven for a while, and then its rotating shaft is locked. Once electric charge has been stored in the electric double layer capacitor 2 since the start of the motor-generator 1 and the rotation of the motor-generator 1 is locked, the electric double layer capacitor 2 discharges the stored electric charge. In this way, a power supply is can be obtained which allows communication for a few minutes, after the stop of the rotation if the rotation is stopped after being driven for about a minute. |
