The aim of the invention is to provide a drive motor with a high running speed for surgical applications, said motor requiring no excessive maintenance. For this purpose, said motor is designed as a drive pinion motor actuated by a fluid under pressure and having pinions which mutually engage in a tight manner in a housing, at a running speed between 40,000 and 150,000 rpm.
