PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical record medium to show excellent machine characteristics, recording and reproducing characteristics and its recording method in the optical recording medium using short wavelength and corresponding to high density recording. SOLUTION: The optical record medium which is a transparent substrate whose angle θ formed between a tangent of a groove wall and a tangent of a flat part of a land part at a position of half depth A/2 of a groove is 30 to 55 degrees and width B of the groove at the position of the half depth A/2 of the groove is 0.25 to 0.45 μm is used when the depth of the groove of a substrate 11 is defined as A (μm) in the optical record medium whose wavelength of recording and/or reproduction is 600 to 680 nm, which is provided with a recording layer 12 in which an organic pigment is contained on the substrate 11 with the groove and whose track pitch is <= 0.8 μm. |
