PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the capacity drop of a battery in use and in storage under high temperature environment. SOLUTION: 0.01-2 mole% aluminum, or 0.01-2 mole% boron, or 0.01-5 mole% calcium is included in a nonaqueous electrolyte retained in an electrode plate group formed by spirally winding a positive electrode 3 using a lithium manganese composite oxide as an active material and a negative electrode 1 using artificial graphite as an active material through a separator 5. Thereby, deposition of a manganese compound on the negative electrode active material is retarded.
