A transparent plastic rectangular cover (1) has to parallel walls (2) on the inside with a circular opening (9) in each wall for the conical end (10) of a strip-lamp (3) so that the optically effective window of the cover is increased by the length of the cylindrical portions (21) of the lamp base (4), which with contact elements (5) serve as a pluggable connector (6). The contact elements are mfd. of spring sheet metal folded along a transverse line (11) ina terminal section for flat plug connection (22). An O-ring seal (19) is seated in an annular groove (18).
