The invention relates to a device for stiffening large-surface concrete elements, especially floors and ceilings of concrete buildings, or a device provided as a semi-finished product for producing stiffened concrete elements having hollow bodies (3) and reinforcement meshes which are embedded in the concrete elements. According to the invention, either the hollow bodies (3) which are arranged above or below the reinforcement mesh (2, 28) are directly bound to the reinforcement mesh by connecting elements (5) such that they resist vertical force, or the device comprises a reinforcement mesh (2, 28) with hollow bodies (3) arranged thereon. In this case, the reinforcement mesh (2, 28) is completely embedded in an even concrete shell (1) in which the hollow bodies (3) are partially embedded.
