The support (1) consists of transparent continuous foil or plate whose translucent or light-permeable areas are arranged in a shading layer (2) and the decorative layer (3) is fitted directly or indirectly to the outward side of the support. Shading and/or decorative layers are applied to the support by screen-printing and to one side only. The decorative layer comes in color right over the layer surface, with motif-forming layer or layers (4) to register with the shading layer (2). The shading layer itself can present a regular pattern and the support consists of adhesive film and so arranged that the film is followed by the decorative layers with the shading layer on the side facing away from the decoration. Transparent adhesive is applied to the decorative layer in areas (5), and one or all layers including the support (1) are made of, or have a separate layer of, ultraviolet absorbing material.
