PURPOSE: A controller for identifying different kind of radio frequencies and a method thereof are provided to simultaneously use an old and a new radio frequency identification device. CONSTITUTION: A receive data queue, which transmits data from or to the outside is initialized. The receive data queue is checked with a certain period of time and read from the receive data queue. Radio frequency identification device is decided and an identifier of radio frequency identification device is added to the received data from a tag. The receive data queue is checked for data to be processed. If data to be processed is checked to be present, the data is read from the receive data queue. An interrupt request from communication port is checked. If an interrupt request is detected, the receive data queue is only checked once and reads the received data from the tag. If interrupt request is not detected, the receive data queue is checked for data repeatedly. The formation of the radio frequency identification device is decided in accordance with the received data queue number. A communication frame is checked whether the communication frame, which is suitable for the radio frequency identification device format is normal. If the result is normal, an identifier of radio frequency identification device is added. If the result is abnormal, data error is reported to a user and restarts the process from the point where the receive data queue is checked with a certain period of time.
