PURPOSE: A method for implementing an OSP(On Screen Display) function in a VDS(Video Display System) is provided to enlarge a font size in a software method without using data that a double size font is converted into a font editor. CONSTITUTION: A CPU(1) decides whether a character for being displayed is the Korean alphabet or an ASCII(American Standard Code for Information Interchange) character. If the character for being displayed is the Korean alphabet, the CPU(1) reads out Korean alphabet font data. If the character for being displayed is the ASCII character, the CPU(1) reads out ASCII font data. The CPU(1) decides whether a font size is a normal size or a double size. If the font size is the normal size, the CPU(1) displays points of each font as 1:1. If the font size is the double size, the CPU(1) displays a dot of '1' twice.
