<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a sealed alkaline storage battery easy in control of over-discharged amount of a negative electrode, without danger, without formation of impurity causing self-discharging and inactivation of component parts of a battery when constituting so that discharging of a positive electrode ends earlier than that of a negative electrode. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a sealed alkaline storage battery, using hydrogen storage electrode as a negative electrode, in which discharging capacity of the negative electrode is made in excess of that of a positive electrode, powder of metal cadmium or metal cobalt with utilization factor increased by making mean particle diameter <5μm is mixed with hydrogen storage alloy powder, to hold them on a conductive support body of the negative electrode. At this moment, excess discharging capacity required by the negative electrode is adjusted by varying the mean particle size and mixing amount of the powder of the metal cadmium or the metal cobalt.</p> |
