PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having improved safety. SOLUTION: This nonqeuous electrolyte secondary battery is constituted of a nonaqueous electrolyte held by the separator and an electrode group 5 provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a porous separator disposed between the positive and negative electrodes having a property that the pores are closed by heating and; and a sheet in which at least a part of the inner surface is formed of a thermoplastic, resin layer. The battery also has an exterior material 3 for housing the electrode group 5 and heat-sealing the thermoplastic resin layers to seal the electrode group 5. The positive electrode, the negative electrode and the porous separator are integrally combined. The thermoplastic resin layer has a melting point higher than the pore close starting temperature of the separator. |
