PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for driving plasma display panel using high frequency are provided to prevent generation of contour noise and to simplify the construction of driving circuit. CONSTITUTION: A method and an apparatus for driving plasma display panel using high frequency include the following steps. An analog to digital convertor(72) receives analog video signals to samples and outputs the received analog video signals. A line memory(74) temporarily stores sampling video signals inputted from the A/D convertor(72). A controller(76) rearranges the video signals of luminance level in order as one scanning line stored by line memory(74) and generates driving signals time difference according to the luminance level. A data driver(78) generates data triggering signal(DTS) based upon the driving signal from controller(76) to drive an address electrode lines plasma display panel(PDP)(80).
