PURPOSE: An apparatus for compensating for a filter error of a digital TV is to compensate a root raised cosine filtering error in a surface acoustic wave filter according to the frequency-offsetting of a second intermediate frequency output from a tuner. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for compensating a filter error of a digital TV comprises a frequency/address converter an oscillated frequency of a voltage control oscillator into a corresponding address, a lookup table of a finite impulse responding coefficient for outputting a finite impulse responding filter coefficient according to an address converted from the frequency/address converter, and a finite impulse responding filter for compensating a frequency offset of a digital signal output from an analog/digital converter according to the finite impulse responding filter coefficient output from the lookup table of the finite impulse responding coefficient. In the apparatus, the digital TV comprises a tuner(10), a surface acoustic wave filter(20), a VSB demodulating portion(30), an analog/digital converter(40) and a signal treating portion(50). |
