METHOD OF STATISTICALLY INSERTING AND DETECTING DIGITAL WATER MARK

PURPOSE: A method of statistically inserting and detecting a digital water mark is proposed to insert and detect the water mark, thereby preventing a piracy and clearly protecting a CONSTITUTION: The method of statistically inserting and detecting a digital water mark comprises the steps of: dividing an audio sample into a plurality of groups; converting a block in a first group into a frequency area; optionally determining a position for inserting a watermark in the frequency area of the block using an equal random number generator and storing a seed value of a random number; calculating a sample mean and a sampling error using a frequency value of a selected position; repeating the above steps to the last group; dividing a sample into a plurality of groups; converting a block in a first group into a frequency area; searching an inserting position using the seed value of the random number; calculating a sample mean and a sampling error using a frequency value of a selected position; and calculating a certification statistic for certifying whether the watermark is inserted and then comparing the certification statistic with a threshold to determining whether the watermark is inserted.
