The present invention relates to a method for reconditioning a eutrophied lake (1), where a waterlogged bottom sediment (3, 3a, 3b, 3c) of the lake (1) is removed to increase water depth. In the method, a dredged material (13) and an absorbent material (14, 20) is subjected to a mixing and compression process where at least an essential protion of the dredged material (13) is pressed by means of compression into a cell structure of said absorbent material (14, 20). The present invention further relates to a method for processing a waterlogged dredged sediment (13) containing organic material, whereby the material (14, 20) having an absorent cell structure and further subjected to a mutual mixing and a mechanical compression (16). The present invention further relates to teh use of a twin-screw press (15, 16) for compressing a dredged material (13) obtained from a bottom sediment (3, 3c, 9) of a lake (1) into a cell structure of an absorbent material (14, 20), such as peat. |
