PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently transfer a toner image on each photoreceptor drum to an intermediate transfer body by firmly pressing the photoreceptor drum and the intermediate transfer body to each other by means of a simple structure, and applying a uniform transfer bias voltage to the firmly pressed portion, in an image forming device of a system in which unfixed toner images formed on the separate photoreceptor drums are transferred one on the other on the belt-like intermediate transfer body. SOLUTION: The photoreceptor drums 2 and support rolls 9 are arranged along an imaginary circle 14 so that the central angles of the photoreceptor drums in the range where the intermediate transfer body 6 is in contact with peripheral faces of the photoreceptor drums 2 are equal to each other. Therefore, the intermediate transfer body 6 is pressed against the photoreceptor drums 2 in the constant state without providing a special member used for pressing the intermediate transfer body 6 to the drums 2. Thus, a substantially uniform transfer bias can be applied to the intermediate transfer body 6 by a transfer electrifier 7. Each of the color toner images on the photoreceptor drums is primarily transferred efficiently under almost same conditions. Accordingly, high quality image can be obtained.
