PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed side fence with excellent operability, in which an abutment on others can be avoided and the degree of freedom of design can be enhanced. SOLUTION: The side fence fitted to a bed is constituted of a fixed side fence part fixed to the bed and a mobile side fence part disposed in the end part of the fixed side fence part so as to be freely rockable. The rotary shaft 30 of the mobile side fence part is supported inside a cylindrical body 25 which is fixed at the end part of the fixed side fence part so as to be freely rotatable, a mobile side fence part rocking angle selecting gear 31 is externally fitted to the rotary shaft 30 so as to be freely and integrally rotatable, a stopper gear 34 having a teeth part to be horizontally engaged with a part of the teeth part 31A which is formed on the side surface of the selecting gear 31 is arranged in an energized state at an engagement release side, a rotary cam 36 for changing-over the stopper gear 34 from an engagement release state into an engagement state is arranged and two rotation operating members 37 and 38 for operating the rotation of the rotary cam 36 are respectively disposed oberably from the both internal and external sides of the bed. |
