PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optionally open/close a hood cover and to easily and lightly carry out the opening/closing work even by one driver without requiring power. SOLUTION: The hood cover opening/closing device for a truck load-carrying platform is constituted such that a plurality of gate-like struts 2, 2R fixed to the hood cover 1 are longitudinally movably supported along left and right rails 6, 6 fixed to the truck load-carrying platform through a roller 5 mounted to lower ends of both left and right pillar parts 2a thereof, the longitudinal adjacent struts of the plurality of gate-like struts 2, 2R are connected through a pantograph type link mechanism 7 and the hood cover 1 is switchable to the cover tension state and the cover closing state by pulling operation of a plurality of rope-like strings 8F, 8R extended to a front side and a rear side along both left and right side parts of the truck load-carrying platform.
