PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of preventing a pivot part from rattling and setting the proper load simply. SOLUTION: The steering device includes mounting members 8 having a long hole 81 at one end of a housing 2 accommodating a steering shaft 1 and supporting, and thereon bearing members 9 are fitted having a supporting part 91 to support the pivot 3 with possibility of relative rotation at the two ends of the pivot 3 fitted in the long holes 81 and projections 93 to restrict the movement of the pivot 3 in the long holes 81 in a position apart from the supporting part 91 and generate relative movement of the pivot 3 with the mounting member 8 while it ruptures when a load in the longitudinal direction is applied to the housing 2.
