PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and efficiently perform measurement in the measurement of a measuring instrument utilizing total internal reflection attenuation. SOLUTION: The measuring apparatus utilizing total internal reflection attenuation having a transport means for carrying a plurality of measurement chips 10 successively to a measurement position comprises a preheating means 80 for heating the measurement chips 10 and a sample 15 that is retained by the chips 10, heats the measurement chips 10 and the sample 15 to nearly the same temperature as the temperature in a thermally balanced state in measurement before transporting the measurement chips 10 by the transport means, and then transports them to a measurement position for measurement. The measurement chips 10 are successively carried from the heating position to the measurement position, and at the same time the measurement chips to be supplied for measurement are successively carried to the heating position for preheating. |
